Marine Gangway Products
When you need to get on or off a vessel, you need MarinaStep
MarinaStep offers three specific gangway styles to assure ma-rine users safe access solutions to fit their different, unique sites and operating conditions: the Stage Gangway (SG Series), Truss Gangway (TG Series), and Self-adjusting Stairs (SAS Series). Our advanced corrosion-resistant marine-grade aluminum vessel gangways are designed for OHSA-compliant worker safety, durability, and reliability in marine environments. They are built to order to your required length and specifications. With an entire engineering staff behind them, they’re built to last, too. Constructed of durable aluminum, galvanized or stainless steel, our vessel gangways are available in many sizes, and special-purpose gangways exceeding standard measurements can be designed to your exact specifications.
Self Adjusting Stair Gangway System
MarinaStep’s self-adjusting stairs are built to the highest quality and allow for operating in aggressive angles to provide safe access from ship to shore. This style is a perfect solution to reach both short and intermediate distances, providing a slip-resistance and level step for users along the entire length of the gangway.
Our SAS gangways are built-to-order to your required length and specifications. Constructed of durable aluminum, galvanized or stainless steel, they’re readily available in lengths up to 24′ and up to 5′ in width — and vessel gangways exceeding those dimensions can be designed and built if your application requires it. If you need a level step throughout the entire operational range from 40 degrees below to 45 degrees above horizontal, the SAS gangway is exactly what you need.

Truss Gangway System
The Truss Series uses a rugged U-body construction to provide a live load capacity of 750 pounds and can be constructed to accommodate even higher load capacities, allowing for up to 80 feet in length.

Multiple wheel options
Choose from omnidirectional swivel casters, fixed hard wheels, fixed pneumatic wheels, or a dock roller. Other options can be added to any design as needed.
Configured for your application
Available ship’s ladder or tripod stairs for fixed utilization. Fixed, mobile, or standalone applications.
Variety of sizes
Available up to 80’ span in length and a variety of widths. Special-purpose gangways exceeding those measurements can also be built.
Variety of walk surfaces
Options include a flat ramp with cleated or bare stamped aggressive tread or diamond-stamped or extruded curved tread.
Stage Gangway System
Our rugged construction provides a standard distributed load rating of 750 pounds and can be made-to-order to accommodate even higher load capacities. Additionally, you can choose from multiple walk surfaces to improve your footing when operating at steeper angles, or give a relaxed surface with a gentle slope depending on your specific needs.

For the stage gangway, the options are identical to the truss gangway with the exception of the allowed length. All-wheel options and walk surfaces are the same.
The Stage Series is the little brother to the Truss Series gangway. It can span up to 20 feet in length and has available widths up to 5 feet.
The SG gangway is our lightest and most maneuverable option available but still has the same strength as its bigger brother. Because it is shorter, it can use smaller components, allowing for the same 750 pounds of support, but it’s easier to handle.

Product Profile
NYC Ferry is a network of ferry routes in New York City about six routes connecting 21 ferry piers in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. MarinaStep ship gangways are designed for high capacity, high volume applications, and services over 28 vessels on an hourly or 30-minute departure schedule.
The ferry service was originally expected to transport 4.5 to 4.6 million passengers annually. Higher-than-expected ridership on NYC Ferry routes caused officials to order new vessels and expand the capacity of existing vessels. In spring 2018, the annual ridership estimates were revised to 9 million, double the original projection, and a further expansion of the NYC Ferry fleet was announced. Despite its crowding, the ferry has generally received positive reviews from passengers.
